Established on : September 17th 1987 Strategy of Establishment: Established as one of three regional residential schools (1 each for Telangana, Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra) representing 10 Telangana Districts Geographic Coverage: 10 Districts of Telangana Selection Criteria: Top students from the district level entrance tests from all 10 Telangana districts are selected on merit basis
Purpose: a). To identify potential top class students from the Backward Classes (BCs) in 10 Telangana Districts through entrance examination b). To provide quality education through better qualified teachers c). To provide scope for all round development of students d).To enable the students in becoming leaders in academic and extra-curricular activities
